Today, the Manny Diaz Campaign announced that it has raised $41,000 for his re-election effort so far in June, bringing his total amount raised to over $284,000. With nearly $200,000 cash on hand, Diaz’s total far surpasses that of his rival for the District 103 seat in the Florida House of Representatives. In addition, he raised $33,000 for his political committee, Better Florida Education, in June.
“Our campaign’s momentum is strong, and we are very grateful for the wonderful support we are receiving,” said Diaz. “I can’t wait to continue my work in Tallahassee to keep fighting for the education reforms we need to make sure every child in Florida receives the best education possible. I enjoy connecting with voters, and we are going to keep working hard to take our message to as many folks as possible.”
Since first being elected to the Florida House in 2012, Diaz has emerged as a strong education policy leader. During the 2016 legislative session, he served as the Chairman of the Choice and Innovation Subcommittee and was a member of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee and the K-12 Subcommittee.
